Introducing.......ME!!

Hi folks, I'm Maggie!

I was born on June 1st, 2010 in Roscommon, Michigan (and yes, it is as small as it sounds). For my first 8 months I lived with a nice couple in a town near there. My old family was very nice, my first mom was a groomer and taught me all I needed to know about being a good girl. Unfortunately they couldn't afford to take care of me anymore and I went to live with a new Mama on February 10th of 2011.

Here's a picture of me after I said goodbye to my old family:

My new Mama is also a groomer, she heard about me from another groomer. Mama says she wasn't looking for another doggy since she had just lost her last boy in December. Mama says he was a Saint. He had his own blog too (Poseidon). Anyways, new Mama was up in Michigan on vacation at her mom's house and I just kind of fell into her lap. As soon as we got to Grandma's house I was bonded to Mama. She couldn't go anywhere without me right there following her. She has the best lap ever! I had lots of fun playing with Grandma's Miniature Schnauzer, Katie. Katie's a year older than me, and she was tons of fun to play with!

This is a picture Grandma took of me on her couch!

On February 12th we left Grandma's house and I was on my way to Virginia with Mama. It was a long long drive, but Mama said I was a great traveler. I slept the whole way except when Mama stopped to let me go potty and get gas.

I sure was surprised when we got to Mama's house! It was warm and there wasn't any snow! Where did the snow go? I got to go outside without my sweater. I have to wear a sweater when it's cold because I have no hair on my legs or butt (Mama says I'm growing into a "Continental" cut).

I like it here, even if I do have to go in a crate when Mama's at work. That was a new experience, let me tell you! At my old house I never got left alone. I got to go everywhere, even to work with my last Mom. She also carried me all the time, but new Mama says I have 4 legs that work perfectly and that I am not going to get carried and held. I keep trying, and people are always impressed by how high I can jump. I can jump past Mama's waist!

I like people, but if they're far away I bark at them and I'm sometimes scared of other dogs. Mama says I start something called "class" in March because I need some more socialization. I've met the trainer guy, his name is Doug and he's pretty cool so I guess it'll be okay.

I'll write more later, I need some cuddle time on Mama's lap.
